Introduction

The purpose of this website is to examine the formation of acid jazz, along with the influence of other styles, and to observe how this style fits within the ‘jazz’ genre. If asked to define acid jazz the response would most likely be a confused one. As a matter of fact few have even heard of this style. Confusion exists over the true origins and definition of acid jazz. Researching the topic revealed many varying ideas of the concept of acid jazz, therefore I had to come to some conclusions throughout my sources.
